Q.1) Define Physics and describe importance of physics in daily life. Also define any five branches  of physics.
Q.2) Chart S.I and Derive Unit, Prefix value, Significant figure.
Q.3) Describe Head to tail rule.
Q.4) What is equilibrium? Describe the state of equilibrium?
Q.5) Define Energy. Write down difference between Kinetic energy vs Potential energy. Also derive K.E = ½ mv2 and P.E = mgh
Q.6) State Laws:
  1. Newton’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd law of motion
  2. Law of Principle of Momentum.
  3. Law of conservation of energy
Q.7) State Newton Law of Gravitation derive the equation F = G m1m2 / r2
Q.8) Give the scientific reason any three of the followings:
  1. It is dangerous to jump from fast moving vehicle.
  2. Why are gap left between two adjacent rails?
  3. Why it is difficult to stop a loaded trucks / when an unloaded truck?

Q.11) Write down 3 differences between each of followings:-

5) Scalar and Vector quantities
6) Distance and displacement
Q.12) Define Resolution of vector and describe rectangular components?
Q.13) State Pascal law with application use in our life?
Q.14) State and explain Boyle’s law. Also describe application of Boyle’s law in daily life.
Q.15) Define centripetal force derives formula with factor of centripetal force.

NUMERICAL

1) A motorcycle is moving with a velocity of 72 km/hr on a straight road, when the brakes are applied the motorcycle comes to rest after covering a distance of 10 meters. Calculate its acceleration.
2) A car moving with a uniform acceleration attains a speed of 36 km/hr in 2 minutes; Find the acceleration of the car.
3) A stone is dropped from a tower. It reaches the ground in 5 seconds. Calculate the height of the tower.
4) A car is moving on a straight road at a speed of 5 m/s. It is accelerated at 3 m/s2. Calculate its velocity after 4 seconds.
5) The velocity of a car increases by an acceleration of 2 m/s2 and become 20 m/s in 5 second. Find the initial velocity of the car.
6) A car is moving with uniform acceleration and attains the velocity of 108 kmh-1 in 5 minutes. Find acceleration of the car.
7) A ball is dropped from a tower; it reaches the ground in 10 seconds. Calculate the height of the tower. (g= 10 m/s2)
8) A car starting from rest attains a velocity of 20 ms-1 in 5 seconds. Find the distance covered by the car.
9) A ball is dropped from a height of 122.5 m. How much time will it take to reach the ground?
10) A body of 20 Kg is moving with a speed of 15 m/s. Find its momentum.
11) A gun of mass 10 kg fires a bullet of mass 0.05 kg with a speed of 200 m/s. Calculate velocity of recoil of the gun.
12) Calculate the pressure at a depth of 3m in swimming pool. (density of water = 1000 kgm-3)
13) The mass of an object is 60 kg, find its weight on Earth and Mars assume the acceleration due to gravity on earth is 9.8 m/s2 on Mars = 3.7 m/s2
14) A bus start from rest and travels along a straight path is velocity become 15 m/s in 5 seconds. Calculate acceleration of the bus.
15) What will be the energy of a boy of mass 50 kg driving a bike with velocity of 2 m/s
16) How much heat is required to boil 3 kg water which is initially 25 °C.
17) A force of 50 N acts on a body. If the moment arm is 0.5 m find the value of the Torque.
18) In a hydraulic lift system, what must be the surface area of a piston if a pressure of 3300 Pa is used to provide an upward force of 2200 N?
19) Calculate the mass of a solid iron wrecking ball of radius 18 cm, if the density of iron is 7.8gm/cm3.
20) The pressure on 9cm3 of oxygen gas doubled at fixed. What will its volume become?
