The Pakistan Super League is a professional Twenty 20 cricket league contested during February and March of every year by six teams representing six cities in Pakistan. The league was founded on 9 September 2015 with five teams and now comprises six teams. Instead of operating as an association of independently owned teams, the league is a single entity in which each franchise is owned and controlled by investors.

Each team playing matches in double round robin format; the top four teams with the best record qualify for the playoffs and culminates in the championship game, the PSL Cup Final.

2022 Pakistan Super League (also known as PSL 7 or for sponsorship reasons HBL PSL 2022) is the seventh season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty 20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015. It was played entirely in Hi7 Stadium, Karachi and Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The series started on 27 January 2022 and ended on 27 February 2022.
The six teams that played the series were Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandar, Multan Sultan, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators. The final match of PSL-7 was played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandar. Lahore Qalandar won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 180 runs in 20 overs. Multan Sultan which remained the strongest side in entire tournament could not snatch victory from Lahore Qalandars and the whole team was dismissed after scoring 138 runs. In this manner, Lahore Qalandar won their maiden PSL title.

Muhammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans) was awarded Player of the Series for scoring 546 runs in the tournament. Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandar) remained the leading wicket taker with 20 wickets.
