ICC World Cup 2023 - An English Essay

ESSAY ON
"ICC WORLD CUP 2023”

Special Thanks To SKG EDUCATION SYSTEM
The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup (also referred to as simply the 2023 Cricket World Cup) was the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was hosted from 5th October to 19th November 2023 across ten venues in India. The tournament was contested by ten national teams, maintaining the same format used in 2019.

BACKGROUND:
On 11th December 2017. India was announced by the ICC as hosts of the 2023 Cricket World Cup; while India had served as s co-host during three previous tournaments (most recently in 201l, which it co-hosted with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh), it would mark the first Cricket World Cup to be hosted solely by India.

Originally, the competition was to be played from 9th February to 26th March 2023. In July 2020 it was announced that due to the disruption of the qualification schedule by the COVID-l9 pandemic, the start of the tournament would be delayed to October. The ICC released the tournament schedule on 27th June 2023.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had threatened to boycott the tournament after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)refused to send a team to the 2023 Asia Cup scheduled in Pakistan. This issue was resolved in June 2023 after the Asian Cricket Council announced that the tournament would be hosted using a hybrid model proposed by the PCB, with nine of the 13 matches in the competition played in Sri Lanka.

This was the first ICC World cup in which penalties for slow over-rates were given to bowling sides if they did not complete their 50 overs in the stipulated time. On-field umpires could penalise the bowling team by not allowing more than four fielders outside the 30-yard circle.

QUALIFICATION:
Other than India, who qualified as hosts, all teams had to qualify for the tournament through the 2023 Cricket World Cup qualification process. Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa qualifies via the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, with the Netherlands and Sri lanka securing the final two places via the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe June and July 2023.

As a result of qualifying process, the competition was the first not to include former winners West Indies, who failed to progress for the first time after their defeat to Scotland. Full members Ireland and Zimbabwe also missed out on qualification, meaning three of the four full members who took part in the knockout qualification stage did not qualify, with only Sri Lanka progressing. The final qualification spot was decided by an eliminator match between associate members Scotland and the Netherlands, with the Dutch side taking the final place.

VENUES:
The tournament took place in ten different stadiums, situated in ten different cities across India. The first and second semi-finals were held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Eden Gardens in Kolkata respectively, while the final took place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The BCCI provided funding for renovations and refurbishment at stadiums. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium received a new grass surface, drainage system, seating, and hospitality boxes. Wankhede Stadium had upgrades to the outfield, floodlights, corporate boxes, and toilets. M. A. Chidambaram Stadium installed new floodlights and relaid two wickets. With the autumn scheduling of this World Cup, the ICC instituted protocols for reducing the impact of moisture including dew and rain on pitch conditions, so that they did not give the team batting second an advantage (as had frequently occurred in the 2021 Men's 120 World Cup).

These included using a specific wetting agent, and the boundary set at around 70 m (77 yards) at each stadium, with more grass on the pitch to encourage seam bowling over spin bowling.

SQUADS:
All teams were asked to finalise their 15-player squads prior to 28 September, with any replacements after that date requiring approval from the ICC. All squads were announced by 26th September 2023. The oldest player of the tournament was Dutch player Wesley Barresi, who was 39 years old, while the youngest was Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad, who was 18.

MATCH OFFICIALS:
Match officials for the 2023 Cricket World Cup were selected by the ICC’s umpire selection panel, headed by Sean Basey, the ICC's senior manager for umpires and referees. The panel selected 12 umpires to officiate at the tournament: three from Australia, four from England, four from Asia (one each from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka), two each from New Zealand and South Africa and one from the West Indies. It also selected four match referees for the event.

WARM-UP MATCHES:
Warm~up matches were held from 29th September to 3rd October 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati, and Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

India’s warm-up fixtures were announced on 27th June. The complete warm-up fixtures were announced on 23th August. The matches were broadcast lives on televisions.

GROUP STAGE:
The ICC announced the World Cup schedule on 27th June 2023 at an event in Mumbai with a countdown of 100 days to the opening match of the World Cup on 5th October. The group stage started with the match between the finalists of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, New Zealand and England at Narendra Modi stadium. On 9th August, nine fixtures including the match between India and Pakistan, were rescheduled by the ICC. The top seven teams in the tournament, excluding Pakistan who qualify automatically as host, qualified for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

KNOCKOUT STAGE:
The host India was the first team to qualify for the semi-final after their 302-runs win against Sri Lanka, their seventh successive win in the World Cup. India secure the top place amongst the semi-finalists after they beat South Africa by 243 runs on 5th November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

South Africa became the second team to qualify for the semi-finals after Pakistan defeated New Zealand on 4th November, with Australia becoming the third team to qualify after defeating Afghanistan on 7th November. New Zealand confirmed their berth as the fourth team after Pakistan lost their final match against England.

In the knockout stage, India and Australia beat New Zealand and South Africa respectively to advance to the final, played on 19th November at Narendra Modi Stadium.

A night before the final match Indian team was overconfident and rather practised for final boastfully the rehearsal to receive world cup as ICC World Cup Champion 2023. When Australian Captain Pat Cummins was asked how the Australians would cope with the vocal, pro-India crowd at Narendra Modi Stadium. “The crowd's obviously going to be very one-sided,” Cummins replied,
“Nothing more satisfying than hearing a big crowd go silent”.
Fortune favour Australia and India was defeated so badly, that their crowd even really did not tolerate it and leave the stadium without giving any appreciation and celebration as a host country to the real ICC World Cup 2023 champion Australia, who won by 6 wickets, winning their sixth Cricket World Cup title.

Virat Kohli was the player of the tournament and also scored the most runs; Mohammed Shami was the leading wicket-taker. A total of 1,250,307 spectators attended matches, the highest number in any Cricket World Cup to-date. The tournament final set viewership records in India, with 518 million viewers, and a peak of 57 million streaming viewers.

The Role of Social Media in Peace Building - An English Essay

The Role of Social Media in Peace Building

In an era characterized by rapid technological advancements and interconnectedness, social media has emerged as a powerful tool for communication, information dissemination, and community engagement. Beyond its role in facilitating social interactions and entertainment, social media platforms play a significant role in fostering peace and promoting conflict resolution in today's world. This essay explores the multifaceted role of social media in peace building and its implications for global harmony.

First and foremost, social media platforms provide a space for dialogue and discourse, enabling individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in meaningful conversations about peace and conflict resolution. Through hashtags, forums, and online communities, people can share their perspectives, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at promoting understanding and tolerance. This open exchange of views helps bridge cultural, political, and ideological divides, fostering empathy and mutual respect among individuals with differing viewpoints.

Moreover, social media serves as a platform for raising awareness about social injustices, human rights violations, and conflicts around the world. Through the rapid dissemination of news, images, and videos, social media amplifies the voices of marginalized communities and sheds light on issues that may otherwise go unnoticed. By bringing attention to these issues, social media galvanizes public support for peace-building efforts and mobilizes collective action to address underlying causes of conflict.

Furthermore, social media facilitates grassroots activism and citizen engagement, empowering ordinary individuals to become agents of change in their communities. From organizing peaceful protests to launching online campaigns for peace and reconciliation, social media enables individuals to mobilize support, raise funds, and effect positive change at the local, national, and international levels. This democratization of activism amplifies the voices of ordinary citizens and strengthens civil society's capacity to promote peace and social justice.

Additionally, social media platforms provide a space for intercultural dialogue and virtual diplomacy, facilitating communication between individuals, organizations, and governments across borders. Through initiatives such as online peace conferences, virtual exchange programs, and digital diplomacy efforts, social media fosters cross-cultural understanding, promotes dialogue between conflicting parties, and builds bridges between communities divided by conflict. By transcending geographical barriers and enabling direct communication, social media has the potential to facilitate peaceful resolution of disputes and build trust between adversaries.

However, it is essential to acknowledge the limitations and challenges associated with the role of social media in peace building. The spread of misinformation, hate speech, and online extremism poses significant risks to peace and stability, exacerbating tensions and fueling intergroup conflicts. Moreover, digital divides, censorship, and government surveillance restrict access to social media platforms in many parts of the world, hindering the free flow of information and impeding peace-building efforts.

In conclusion, social media has emerged as a transformative force in peace building, offering new opportunities for dialogue, activism, and diplomacy in an increasingly interconnected world. By leveraging the power of social media, individuals, organizations, and governments can work together to promote peace, foster reconciliation, and build a more just and harmonious society. However, to realize the full potential of social media in peace building, it is essential to address the challenges of misinformation, digital divides, and online extremism, while harnessing the positive aspects of social media for the greater good of humanity.

Life In A Big City Vs Life In A Village - English Essay

Life In A Big City /
Life In A Village

Special Thanks To Sir Shahid
Life in a big city is a whirlwind of excitement, opportunity, and endless possibilities. The streets are always bustling with people, the skyscrapers reaching for the sky, and the lights shining brightly, illuminating the night. It is a place where dreams come true and where one can find everything they desire. From high-end shopping malls to luxurious restaurants, from world-class museums to vibrant nightlife, a big city has it all. The fast-paced lifestyle keeps one on their toes, always striving for success and never settling for less. However, amidst all the chaos and glamour, one can sometimes feel lost in the crowd, yearning for a sense of belonging.

On the other hand, life in a village is a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of a big city. It is a tranquil haven where time seems to stand still. The air is fresh and crisp, filled with the fragrance of nature. The landscape is adorned with lush green fields, rolling hills, and quaint cottages that exude simplicity and charm. Life in a village revolves around community and close-knit relationships. Neighbors know each other by name, and everyone looks out for one another. Daily activities consist of tending to crops, raising livestock, and gathering at the village square to share stories and laughter. The pace of life is slow and relaxed, allowing one to appreciate the beauty of simplicity.

In a big city, opportunities are abundant. There are countless job prospects in various industries, ranging from finance to technology, from healthcare to entertainment. The city acts as a melting pot of cultures, attracting people from all walks of life. It fosters diversity and encourages individuals to embrace different perspectives. Moreover, educational institutions in big cities are renowned for their excellence, providing top-notch education that opens doors to endless possibilities. However, the high cost of living can be a burden for some, and the competitive nature of the city can be overwhelming at times.

In contrast, life in a village may lack the glamour and career prospects that a big city offers. However, it compensates with simplicity and a strong sense of community. In a village, one can truly connect with nature and find solace in its serenity. The close-knit relationships fostered in villages create a sense of belonging that cannot be easily replicated in a bustling city. The cost of living is significantly lower in villages, allowing individuals to live comfortably without the stress of financial burdens. However, limited access to modern amenities and job opportunities can pose challenges for those seeking more diverse experiences and career growth.

Whether one chooses to embrace the fast-paced lifestyle of a big city or the tranquil simplicity of village life ultimately depends on their personal preferences and priorities. Both have their unique charm and advantages that cater to different individuals' needs. The key lies in finding a balance between ambition and contentment, between chasing dreams and finding fulfillment in the present moment. After all, life is not defined by the size of the city or village we reside in but by the experiences we create and the connections we forge along the way.

Science - A blessing or curse /
Science and it's uses
Science, oh what a marvelous field of study it is! It is truly a blessing that has revolutionized our lives in countless ways. From the moment we wake up in the morning to the time we lay our heads on the pillow at night, science is at work, making our lives easier, safer, and more convenient. Just think about all the incredible inventions that science has given us - electricity, transportation, medicine, communication devices, and so much more. Without science, we would still be living in the dark ages, struggling to survive. Science has brought us progress and prosperity, and for that, we should be eternally grateful.
But like any great power, science also has its drawbacks. It can be a double- edged sword, capable of both blessing and curse. While scientific advancements have improved our quality of life in so many ways, they have also brought about new challenges and dilemmas. The advancements in technology have made our lives easier, but they have also made us more dependent and disconnected from the natural world. The medical breakthroughs have given us longer life spans, but they have also created ethical dilemmas surrounding issues like genetic engineering and organ transplantation. And let's not forget about the environmental impact of scientific progress - pollution, deforestation, and climate change are all consequences of our scientific advancements.

However, despite these challenges, it is important to remember that science itself is not to blame. It is merely a tool that can be used for both good and bad purposes. It is up to us, as the beneficiaries of science, to ensure that it is used for the betterment of humanity. We must strive to use science responsibly and ethically, always considering the potential consequences of our actions. By doing so, we can continue to reap the benefits of scientific advancements while minimizing their negative impacts.

In conclusion, science is undoubtedly a blessing that has transformed our lives in countless ways. It has improved our health, enhanced our comfort, and expanded our knowledge about the world around us. However, it is important to approach science with caution and responsibility to ensure that its power is used for the greater good. With a thoughtful and conscientious approach, science can continue to be a force for progress and innovation in our society. Science, undoubtedly, has revolutionized the world we live in today. It has brought about countless advancements and discoveries that have improved our lives in numerous ways. From medical breakthroughs to technological innovations, science has been a blessing to humanity. For instance, the development of vaccines and antibiotics has saved millions of lives by preventing and treating diseases. Moreover, the invention of electricity and the subsequent advancements in technology have made our lives easier and more convenient. We can now communicate with people across the globe within seconds, access information instantly, and perform tasks more efficiently. These are just a few examples of how science has positively impacted our lives.

However, it is important to acknowledge that science can also have its drawbacks. The misuse or abuse of scientific knowledge can lead to devastating consequences. For instance, the creation of nuclear weapons is a prime example of science being used for destructive purposes. The potential harm caused by these weapons is immense and can result in catastrophic consequences if they fall into the wrong hands. Additionally, the rapid advancements in technology have raised concerns about privacy and security issues. With the increasing reliance on digital platforms and connectivity, our personal information becomes vulnerable to hacking and cyber attacks.

Despite these potential negative impacts, it is essential to recognize that science itself is neutral. It is the application and use of scientific knowledge that determines whether it becomes a blessing or a curse. The responsibility lies with society, governments, and scientists themselves to ensure that scientific advancements are used for the betterment of humanity. Proper regulation and ethical guidelines need to be in place to prevent the misuse of scientific knowledge.

My Last / First Day At College - English Essay

My Last / First Day At College

Special Thanks To Sir `SHAHID'
My first day at college was a whirlwind of emotions, anticipation, and excitement. As I stepped onto the campus grounds, the air buzzed with a sense of possibility and new beginnings. The sun peeked through the trees, casting a warm glow on the buildings around me. I couldn't help but feel a surge of energy coursing through my veins. The campus was alive with students, each one carrying their own dreams and ambitions. It was a melting pot of diversity, where people from all walks of life came together to pursue their passions. As I walked through the halls, I couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. This was the place where I would grow, learn, and create lasting memories.

The halls were lined with bulletin boards filled with flyers for clubs and organizations. It was a sea of opportunities just waiting to be explored. As I made my way to my first class, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of nervousness and excitement. The classroom was filled with eager faces, all ready to embark on this new chapter of their lives. The professor walked in, exuding an air of confidence and knowledge. They welcomed us with open arms and encouraged us to ask questions and engage in discussions. It was a refreshing change from the rigid structure of high school. I could already tell that college would be a place where my ideas would be valued, and my voice would be heard.

As the day progressed, I met new friends who shared similar interests and aspirations. We bonded over our love for literature, music, and art. We exchanged phone numbers and promised to meet up for coffee or study sessions. It was comforting to know that I wasn't alone in this journey. The campus became a home away from home, filled with familiar faces and friendly smiles.

My last day at college was bittersweet. The once bustling campus now felt empty and quiet. The final exams were over, and it was time to bid farewell to the place that had become my second home. As I walked through the halls one last time, memories flooded my mind. The late-night study sessions, the laughter-filled conversations in the cafeteria, and the moments of triumph and growth. It was a chapter of my life that had shaped me into the person I had become.

As I stepped out of the college gates for the last time, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude and nostalgia. College had been more than just an nstitution of higher learning; it had been a transformative experience that had prepared me for the next phase of my life. The lessons learned inside those classrooms extended far beyond textbooks and lectures. They were lessons in resilience, adaptability, and self-discovery.

Though my time at college had come to an end, the memories and friendships forged during those years would forever hold a special place in my heart. As I looked towards the future with a mix of excitement and uncertainty, I knew that my college days would always be cherished as some of the best days of my life.

Real Games Versus Virtual Games (ESSAY)

REAL GAMES VS VIRTUAL GAMES

BY: HAMID KHAN

Real games and virtual games are two different forms of gaming that have become increasingly popular in recent years. Real games are those that are played in the physical world, such as sports, board games, and card games. Virtual games, on the other hand, are played in a digital environment, such as video games, online games, and mobile games.

One of the main differences between real games and virtual games is the level of physical activity involved. Real games require physical movement, which can be beneficial for the body and mind. For example, playing a game of basketball can help improve cardiovascular health and hand-eye coordination. In contrast, virtual games are often played while sitting in front of a screen, which can lead to a sedentary lifestyle and health problems such as obesity and eye strain.

Another difference between the two forms of gaming is the level of social interaction involved. Real games often require players to interact with each other in person, which can lead to the development of social skills and the formation of strong relationships. Virtual games, on the other hand, can be played alone or with others online, which can be less fulfilling in terms of social interaction.

Real games also have a certain level of unpredictability that virtual games lack. In a real game, unexpected events can occur, such as weather changes or injuries, which can add to the excitement and challenge of the game. In virtual games, the game play is often scripted and predictable.

However, virtual games have their own advantages as well. They offer a wide range of options and can be played at any time and from anywhere in the world. They also provide a level of immersion and escapism that real games cannot match.

In conclusion, while real games and virtual games differ in terms of physical activity, social interaction, and unpredictability, they both offer their own unique advantages and disadvantages. It is up to everyone to decide which type of gaming they prefer, depending on their personal preferences and goals.

Essay On - Electronic Media Versus Print Media - By Hamad Khan (Read Collegiate)

ELECTRONIC MEDIA VS PRINT MEDIA

By Hamad Khan
Electronic media and print media are two distinct forms of media that have evolved over time. While print media has been around for centuries, electronic media is a relatively new concept that has taken the world by storm.

Print media is any form of media that is printed on paper, such as newspapers, magazines, books and brochures. It has been around for centuries and has been an important source of information for people all over the world. Electronic media, on the other hand, refers to any form of media that is created, edited, and distributed electronically, such as TV, radio, social media, and websites.

One of the main differences between electronic media and print media is their reach. Electronic media has a wider reach as it can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection, while print media is limited to those who have access to printed material. Electronic media is also more interactive, allowing users to engage with the content by leaving comments and sharing their thoughts.

Another difference between the two forms of media is the cost. Electronic media is generally cheaper to produce than print media as it does not require the use of paper, ink, or printing presses. This makes it easier for smaller businesses and individuals to create and distribute content.

However, print media has its advantages as well. It is often seen as more credible and trustworthy than electronic media, which can be subject to manipulation and fake news. Print media is also more accessible to those who do not have access to the internet or electronic devices.

In conclusion, while electronic media and print media may have their differences, they both play important roles in the world of media. Electronic media is more interactive and has a wider reach, while print media is often seen as more credible and trustworthy. Both forms of media have their own unique advantages and disadvantages, and it is up to everyone to decide which one they prefer.

Essay On - City Life vs Village Life - By Hamad Khan (Read Collegiate)

CITY LIFE VERSUS VILLAGE LIFE

BY: HAMID KHAN

City life and village life are two vastly different life styles. While one offers modern amenities and fast-paced living, the other is characterized by simplicity and traditional values. In this essay, we will compare and contrast the two ways of life to gain a better understanding of their unique features.

City life is often described as fast paced and busy. There are a multitude of job opportunities in cities, and people often move there for work. The city offers modern amenities such as shopping malls, cinemas, restaurants, and high-quality healthcare facilities. The availability of public transportation is also a significant advantage of living in the city. The downside of city life is the high cost of living, pollution, and the lack of green spaces.

On the other hand, village life is characterized by simplicity, tranquillity, and traditional values.Villages are usually small, close-knit communities where everyone knows each other. People in villages often work in agriculture, and their daily lives revolve around farming and taking care of livestock. The slow pace of life in the village allows people to enjoy nature and develop strong interpersonal relationships. However, access to modern amenities and healthcare facilities can be limited in villages.

In terms of education, cities offer more opportunities for higher education and specialized training, while village schools may have limited resources and fewer opportunities for career development. However, village life offers a strong sense of community and a sense of belonging that can be difficult to find in the bustling city.

In conclusion, both city life and village life have their unique advantages and disadvantages. While the city offers modern amenities and job opportunities, village life offers a peaceful and simple way of life. Ultimately, the choice between the two ways of life depends on individual preferences and priorities.

Essay On - PHYSICAL CLASSES V/S ONLINE CLASSES

PHYSICAL CLASSES V/S ONLINE CLASSES

The covid-19 pandemic resulted in empty schools and colleges, leading to a new teaching model i.e online classes. It opens a new choice for the learners to complete their study through online classes if they are unable to attend physical classes.

Modern technology has make it possible to manage online classes and has infiltrated the education sector as a result many college students now prefer taking online classes, as compared to attending the traditional regular or physical classes. This is because online classes are convenient for such students and so for those employers who work with study and can not attend physical classes. Online learning gives them the flexibility that they needed. In addition, online learning also gives an opportunity to students and professionals who would not have access to gone back to school to get the necessary qualification.

Online classes mainly take place through the internet. Although, online classes lack the regular student teacher interaction that is common with traditional learning. It provides benefits like instant feedback, file sharing, and communication and equal instructor voice to all students. On the other hand. learning in traditional or physical classes involves direct interaction between the student and the instructors. Physical classes provide academic environment and build discipline, concentration and positivity in students.

This is beneficial to both the learner and the instructors because both can be able to establish bond. In addition, students attending the traditional classroom often have to adhere to strict guideline's that have been established by the learning institution. Students also have to adhere to the established time schedules. On the other hand, students attending online classes can learn at their own time and pace and lack.

One advantage of the traditional classes over online is that students who are not disciplined enough may not be able to sail through successfully because there is nobody to push them around. With traditional classes however, there are rules to put them in check. As such, students attending traditional classes are more likely to be committed to their education.

Another advantage of the traditional classes is all the doubts that students might be having regarding a given course content can be cleared by the instructor on the spot, unlike online learning whereby such explanations might not be as coherent as the students would have wished. With the traditional classes, students are rarely provided with the course materials by their instructors, and they are therefore expected to take their own notes. This is important because they are likely to save such notes in black and white and use them later on in their studies.

In contrast, online students are provided with course materials in the form of video or audio texts. They can also download such course materials online. Such learning materials can be deleted or lost easily compared with handwritten class notes, and this is a risk. Although the basic student attending online classes are comparatively less in comparison to students attending traditional classes, nonetheless, it is important to note that online students are also expected to be internet savvy because all learning takes place online.

This would be a disadvantage for the regular student; only that internet savvy is not a requirement. Students undertaking online learning are likely to be withdrawn because they hardly interact one-on-one with their fellow online students or even their instructors. The only form of interaction is online. As such, it becomes hard for them to develop a special bond with other students and instructors. With traditional learning however, students have the freedom to interact freely and this helps to strengthen their existing bond.

Conclusion:
Online learning is convenient and has less basic requirements compared with traditional learning. It also allows learners who would have ordinarily not gone back to school to access an education. However, online students do not benefit from a close interaction with their peers and instructors as do their regular counterparts. Also, regular students can engage their instructors more easily and relatively faster in case they want to have certain sections of the course explained, unlike online students.

PHYSICAL CLASSES V/S ONLINE CLASSES

By Hamad Khan

In today's world with the advancement of technology, education is no longer limited to traditional physical classrooms. Online classes have made
education accessible and affordable for millions of students worldwide. However, physical classes and online classes both have their own set of advantages and disadvantages.
Physical classes refer to traditional classrooms where students sit in a room and have face-to-face interactions with their teachers and classmates. In contrast, online classes take place on the internet, and students can access their coursework and educational materials via computers, smartphones, or tablets.

One of the biggest advantages of physical classes is the direct interaction btween the teacher get their questions answered on the spot. Students also get to learn from their peers in physical classrooms, which leads to better learning outcomes. In contrast, online classes offer flexibility in terms of time and place of learning. Students can learn from anywhere, as long as they have access to the internet. Online classes also allow students to work at their own pace and schedule, which can be beneficial for those with other commitments like work or family.

However, online classes can also be challenging for students who lack motivation and self-discipline. Without the structure and accountability of a physical class, some students may struggle to stay on track with their coursework. Furthermore, technical issues like internet connectivity, software failure, and other unforeseen circumstances can disrupt the learning experience in online classes.

In conclusion, both physical classes and online classes have their own advantages and disadvantages. While physical classes offer a more interactive and social learning experience, online classes offer greater flexibility and accessibility. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on the individual student's needs and learning style.

ESSAY : A terrible road accident - By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE (Class IX – X – XI – XII) (For 2022)

A terrible road accident

By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE

“Be Alert, Accident hurt.”
(Charles Lamb)

Life is not a bed of roses, its a bed of thorns. Many accidents take place in routine life. A road accident refers to an accident involving at least one road vehicle, occurring on a road open to public circulation, and in which one person is injured or killed.

On this busy planet, life has become very active and fast. People have to travel for various purposes. They use different vehicles to move from one place to another. Most of the people on the roads seem to be in such a hurry that they don’t bother to follow the traffic rules. Some of them even are unaware of the rules they should abide by on the roads. This negligence results in severe road accidents. These accidents can be fatal; if the victims are lucky enough to survive from them, they may live their entire life with the disability or at least suffering from a serious injury.

“Road sense is the offspring of courtesy and the parent of safety.”
(Australian Traffic)

There are many other causes of road accidents. Most accidents are due to rash driving. Between speeding buses, motor-bikes, cars etc. in an uncontrollable urge to prove oneself as the ruler of the road, is the frequent cause of road accidents. Many road mishaps happen when the driver’s attention is divided between the person on the other side of the phone and the vehicles on the road. In spite of multiple warnings by the officials, people don’t restrain from using mobile phones and cause accidents.

“Accidents, and particularly street and highway accidents, do not happen they are caused.”
(Ernest Greenwood)

The accident which I am going to narrate is very horrible. It was actually a road accident which I myself, experienced. It was just a rainy day and the start of another routine morning. l took a shower, called my friend to pick me from my home. All of this took a little longer than usual, not a surprise, so we were running late. My friend, Ali, was driving fast in an attempt to reach college in time.

“Chance takers are accident makers.”
(Rick Allen)

We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. Unfortunately, there was lying a dead deer on the road. Our car struck it and went out of control.

“Know safety, no injury. No safety, know injury.”
(Horace)

Suddenly, it hit a tree on the side of the driving seat. The car was stopped with a bulging sound. I got a slight injury on my head. I was terrified but I realized that God saved me from severe damage. I looked at my friend. His condition was very critical. I was calling him but he was unconscious. I was so confused that I did not know what to do to save him. I came out of the ear to seek help. Two to three people gathered there. One of them called the emergency number “1122” for the ambulance-immediately. The ambulance arrived very quickly. After about 15 minutes in the ambulance, we got to the hospital. We took him to the X-ray room and got X-rays of his arm and leg. They found out that his forearm bone was broken in his left arm. Besides this, his hip bone was severely affected. He was taken to Civil Hospital for surgery. A plate was put on his hipbones to help them stay together. He was in the hospital for six days and in a wheelchair for around eight weeks.

“When you. gamble with safety, you bet your life.”
(Charles Dickens)

Thanks to Allah for saving our lives. We have now realized how precious life really is and that it can be taken away in a single minute. This is even easier when you are driving a car. One little mishap can result in an extreme injury or even death. We were lucky that we received immediate help, otherwise, things might have become worse. From this incident, I have learned a great lesson that we should follow traffic rules and avoid rash driving.

“Prepare and prevent, don’t repair and repent.”
(A.A Milne)

ESSAY: USES AND ABUSES OF CELLPHONE - By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE (Class IX – X – XI – XII) (For 2022)

USES AND ABUSES OF CELLPHONE

By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE

A mobile phone or cell phone is an electronic telecommunication device with the same basic capability as a conventional fixed-line telephone, but which is also entirely portable and is not required to be connected with a wire to the telephone network. In addition to the standard voice function of a telephone, a mobile phone can support many additional services such as SMS for text messaging, packet switching for access to the Internet, and MMS for sending and receiving photos and videos. In less than twenty years, mobile phones have gone from being rare and expensive pieces of equipment used by businesses to an all pervasive low-cost personal item. In many countries, mobile phones now outnumber landline telephones, with most adults and many children now owning mobile phones.

As with many new technologies, concerns have arisen about the effects on health from using a mobile telephone. There is a small amount of scientific evidence for an increase of certain types of rare tumors (cancer) in long-time, to persistent heavy users. Another controversial but more lethal concern is the correlation with road traffic accidents. Furthermore, students waste a lot of time using mobile phone and making friends which affects their studies badly.

Despite all the abuses of cell phones, one cannot deny the uses of mobiles. They are one's easily available help in case of an emergency. They save a lot of time and energy in making multiple calls to track a single person.

All one has to remember is that mobiles were invented for our convenience and not to create nuisance. If used judiciously, wisely and with public etiquette, mobiles can be of great use. Technology is here and it is here to stay. It is indeed up to us to let it guide our lives or to allow our sense of reason to control the right use of technology.

We live in a time when technology has reached such heights that no aspect of life is complete without it. Social networking sites are that innovation of technology that makes this huge world of our look small. In this modern world, social networking sites plays a major role among the youngsters and the population of using these sites grow day by day in a large number. These types of sites mainly offer an online service in which the people can share their views, opinions and other stuffs. Many off these sites contain the messaging facility, which is the main factor that attracts the people towards it. These sites are web based and requires an Internet connection to chat with other around the world.

Some of the social networking sites that are popular in this current scenario include : Facebook, Twitter etc.

These sites generally attract the people by offering various services like Chatting, Gaming, Instant Messaging, Photo sharing, Videos etc.

MERITS:
Beginning with the advantages of the various social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and various others; these give us a platform to express our thoughts and share it with billions of people out there, know their views and interact with them. Apart from communication between people it also gives us an opportunity to get various information about the people or celebrities we admire.

Social networking sites have been the place to discuss issues that are international, national, local and have time and again attracted attention of concerned authorities which is a great advantage.

It can be used as a platform to promote and advertise business.

DEMERIT:
In the same time, there are lots of security issues faced by them while updating their personal information on these sites. It is advisable not to update the personal information on these sites, as these sites are more hacked by the hackers and sometimes can be dangerous to your life.

Through social networking, person has a lot of friend but the quality and integrity of these friendships is not always true. On the other hand, data on these social-networking sites for a person is not always 100% honest and reliable, and they do not verify personal details (age, location, etc.) of their members.

The amount of time spent by individuals with each other online has risen to greater extent. This has effect on health of individuals, because spending a lot of time browsing these social networks can affect the way the genes operate within the human body, and weakens the immune and hormone levels. In addition, it is also has an impact on mental health. Moreover, the use of social networking in the education can cause lack of motivation towards learning and can be boring sitting in front of computer for a long time.

CONCLUSION: Social network has made the life of people more easy and interesting, its negative impact has created insecurity among them. Everything has some good effects and some bad effects but it fully depends on individual how to utilize good effect and how to convert bad effects into good effects. At last I would like to conclude
“SOCIAL MEDIA SHOULD IMPROVE YOUR LIFE, NOT BECOME YOUR LIFE!”

ESSAY : WATER SHORTAGE IN KARACHI / PROBLEMS OF KARACHI CITY - By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE (Class IX – X – XI – XII) (For 2022)

WATER SHORTAGE IN KARACHI /
PROBLEMS OF KARACHI CITY

By USTANI G COACHING CENTRE

Many areas of Karachi are facing an acute water shortage due to slackness of Sindh government and other authorities, compelling citizens to drink bottled and tanker water.

A few years ago, only summer seasons witnessed water shortage in Karachi but now, the citizens have to face water-related crisis in all seasons. Karachi is a mega city of Pakistan which requires more than 1,000 million gallons of water per day for fulfilling the water need of its high population.

The three main reasons of this problem are the rule of tanker mafia, lobbying of mineral water companies and Karachi Water and Sewerage Board.

The role of water tanker mafia in the metropolis nowadays is worse than ever. Many areas of the city depend on the water tankers because they have no supply of water from KWSB. The rule of tanker mafia in Karachi had made the water situation worst.

Secondly, the lobbying of mineral water companies has also made the life of Karachities worst. They first basically targeted the people of elite class and then by soft advertisement goes through the mind of the people of all classes and give them the sense of hygiene water which is of course only the mineral water. The use of mineral water is nowadays a status symbol too but like the water tanker every people of the society can’t afford it.

Last but not the least, poor power supply and water shortage have a major connection with each other. In most of the areas, the water supply timing by KWSB and load-shedding hours are same so people can’t be able to store water.

Water is a basic necessity of life but unfortunately, people of Karachi don’t have full access to it. By going through all the three hurdles in the path of getting water, people end up using unhygienic water on which they have easy access. In Karachi, people usually have the problem of stomach related diseases and this is unfortunately because of no supply of clean drinking water.
