Unemployment - An English essay

UNEMPLOYMENT

Special Thanks To Aلi Sheiخ

Unemployment refers to the lack of available job opportunities for those seeking employment. Unemployment is the root cause of numerous societal issues. Unemployment pollutes society and undermines the political structure of the country. It has the potential to push law-abiding and honest individuals towards criminal activities. It is challenging to expect truth, integrity, and honesty from someone who struggles to provide basic necessities like food and medicine for their family. Prolonged poverty and unemployment pose a significant threat to the stability of the state.

In Pakistan, we have observed a rise in unemployment across various sectors. Thousands of individuals with B.A. and M.A. degrees are unemployed, unable to secure even clerical positions. The causes of widespread unemployment are numerous.

Initially, the population of our country, as well as other developing nations, is rapidly increasing. Meeting the needs of this expanding population becomes increasingly challenging. If the population continues to grow at the current rate, the government's efforts to provide employment and food for the public are likely to be unsuccessful.

The slow pace of economic and scientific advancement is arguably the primary driver of unemployment. Due to sluggish industrial growth, there is a lack of large factories and industrial hubs where laborers, skilled workers, and recent graduates can find employment.

The defective system of our education is also responsible for this serious problem. We neglect technical education. Many young individuals prefer white-collar jobs over manual labor, leading to a scarcity of desk jobs in the country and resulting in widespread unemployment. Additionally, the decline of cottage and small industries, coupled with the decreased demand for locally made products, exacerbates the problem. This situation poses challenges not only for the government but also for highly skilled artisans.

To get rid of this problem, we have to develop our economy on modern lines. Our agriculture system is backward. We must develop it with new techniques. Besides all these, we need to develop our cottage industries. These industries need less capital and more manpower.

Rapid industrialization has the potential to alleviate the shadow of unemployment. In rural areas, small-scale industries should be established. The government should endeavor to establish new factories in as many locations as feasible. This will enable a significant number of unemployed but skilled workers to secure employment opportunities.

Our government is making efforts to address this issue as promptly as possible. However, despite these efforts, much more is required. The education system needs to be reformed, ensuring equitable distribution of wealth. Population control measures should be implemented to maintain sustainable levels. The government should incentivize foreign investors to boost the economy. Overcoming the challenge of unemployment necessitates effective planning. It will require persistent efforts to eradicate this issue.
